We just had to pop into your inbox to share an overwhelming feeling of love for our community that continues to linger after last week’s festivities. To quote one of the holiday greats, “If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around,” The Prime Minister (Hugh Grant in the movie Love Actually).
It’s safe to say that LOVE was indeed all around us this weekend at the Red Bluff Community Center and Los Hermanos Mexican Cocina in Gerber. These two fantastic Christmas Festivals packed a serious HUG right to the heart. We could not have had a more diverse and devoted group of community members helping give to the cause. The event boasted support from young child volunteers, a four-legged K-9 (Riggs), CHP, local high school grads gone superstar (AKA Danny Munoz), more than 30 junior high and high schoolers, and amazing bilingual Santas . . . just to name a few. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of these heartfelt gatherings.
The committed families waiting in line for more than two hours clearly define the need for these events. The takeaway message for all of us can be that everyone can use a little help sometimes, and we can all loan a helping hand from time to time.
