The above examples are just the tip of the iceberg. Educational entities, organizations, and local leaders are continuing to tease out the power of the community when it comes to early child development. Some efforts are highly focused and intentional, while others play out naturally within our close-knit county. Despite the mechanism for connection, one thing is for certain – children will continue to reap the benefits of a fostered sense of self and overall belonging.

Take a peek at our BOOK IT TEHAMA CHALLENGE. This cradle-to-career showdown is co-hosted by First 5 Tehama and Expect More Tehama. Starting June 6 through July 29, 2022, families can dive into this fun summer reading event. This challenge encourages reading in your favorite places and sharing these moments with others on social media. Fabulous prizes and bragging rights are on the table.
